WORD OF INSTRUCTION
Time to Oil Your Sword?
________________________________________________________________________________________________
Have we really learned to speak to the 'mountains' in our life,(1)  take authority over powers of darkness(2)  and fully
trust the word of God will be fulfilled
(3)  when we speak it in faith and according to His will?(4)   The faith(5)  a believer
must live by, rely on and walk in
(6) has been greatly emphasized by the Church as being foundational in our
unwavering trust of God's word, promises, statutes and commandments.  What we seem to hear less about is our
charge to "be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power ... take your stand  against" the works, wiles, schemes and
forces of darkness.
(7)    Our faith and the word of God are not entities that function and operate independent of one
another, rather they are inseparably linked
: one leads to the realization of the other.(8)    What could a secular term like
'synchronize' have to do with spiritual things and events?  In order to synchronize two separate things they need to
"occur at the same time; be simultaneous; be in unison; occur or operate with coincidence in time or rate".
(9)   A type
of 'spiritual synchronicity', even though it may not be immediately discernible to the natural eye, is when "all things
work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
(10)    If we
primarily seek only to hear (or read) the word of God and seldom engage in applying (wielding, speaking) His word
against situations, circumstances and confrontational forces, then we only know spiritual ground others have taken!
The Kingdom of God advances by taking new ground in enemy territory and marching the gospel into the land of the
'unsaved'.  Saints that are not practiced in wielding the 'sword of the Spirit'
(11)  cause those that are to do double duty
in times of crisis, conflict and attack.  "For the word (logos) of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
two-edged sword ..."
(12)  and "the sword of the Spirit, which is the word (rhema) of God"(11)  [see  aamen.org "Word
of His Power"]  We can not enter into spiritual conflicts and expect to triumph unless we know how to exercise the
sovereign word of God.
To hear words or witness acts of unrighteousness and not speak (rhema) God's word (logos) over them is to, in one
respect, be a 'hearer' and not necessarily a 'doer' of the word!
(13)    Until we put into action the 'word of God' we have
acquired and retained, for the benefit of others, we basically serve our own interests.  We can not enter into spiritual
conflicts and expect to triumph unless we know how to exercise the sovereign word of God.  Christ's victory in the
three wilderness temptations came when he exercised (spoke) the 'written word of God' and brought the power,
authority, and supremacy inherent in His word against the challenges placed before Him.  The scripture which reads,
"the Holy Spirit ... shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto
you"
(14)  is addressing scripture(s) we remember (both Testaments inclusive) in order for the Spirit to bring them to
our mind in time of need.  The Spirit can not bring to our remembrance that which is not there to bring and we can
not speak what He can not bring from our remembrance.  The word of God which lives in our heart and we are able
to grasp instantaneously is the word we have heard, remembered and are able to wield on demand.  The Holy Spirit is
the one who
synchronizes our remembered word with the power that comes through speaking the authority of God's
logos.
Hearing the word of God constructs the shield of faith and releasing (speaking) God's word allows it to operate as the
"sword of Spirit".  Brandishing the shield of faith and wielding the sword of the Spirit must operate in unison for one
can not be fully effective without the other.  Many Christians today need to
oil their sword (the word of God) for
rust spots are appearing.  If a 'spiritual' conflagration comes against the saint's before Christ appears in the clouds
(15)
those that are practiced with the sword (spiritual) will be the one's who take authority over the circumstances and
situations leveled against the body-or-Christ.  If God should call on you in these last days be found with the full word
of God in your heart and the power of the "sword of the Spirit" in your mouth, and not just an oil can in your hand.
(16)

If you have His word, and believe His word, then speak out His word, live by It and your faith!(17)    Amen
