Deliverance begins with confession. Repentance allows for forgiveness. Anointing comes through obedience.
Faithfulness results in blessing. Scripture is replete with God's preconditions for His favor and blessing to occur
in our life ... He specifically shows us what begets (gives birth to) what in His kingdom economy. If we do not
diligently search the word of God and learn the expectations He has for those that desire to follow in the way of
His Son ... then we truly live a trial and error existence in coming to know His antecedents for righteous living.
Each and every situation we have faced, are facing now or will face has already been addressed (begotten) in
scripture, e.g., "To obey is better than sacrifice ..." (1 Sam. 15:22); "... sin leads to death, obedience leads to
righteousness"(Rom. 6:16); "... better to be poor than a liar" (Prov. 19:22); " ... the yoke shall be destroyed
because of the anointing"(Isa. 10:27); "Forgive, and you will be forgiven" (Lk. 6:37). [Italics added]
God establishes preconditions ("if, then" statements) in order for many of His promises to occur in such a
manner so the believer may know his part in the bringing about of God's blessings.
As a corollary, He sets out in scripture His values and absolutes as the benchmarks for our behavior and canons
for judgment; e.g., two scriptures ... "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and
pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chron. 7:14) and "But if you ... do not turn from wickedness or from evil ways,
you will die for your sin ..." (Ezek. 3:19) clearly bear witness to God's wisdom regarding humbleness, prayer,
seeking His presence, our repentance, His hearing, forgiveness, healing, sin and death.
As the properties of fire purify and salt preserves, so let the Spirit of Truth speak (Jh. 16:13) to you from the
living word of God and continue to cleanse your heart and safekeep your mind in order to maintain an acceptable
habitat in which God's Holy Spirit may reside. Man has always had to choose between a system of worldly
values or God's economy. In the days to come it will be of utmost importance and necessity to not only know
God's absolutes, but to have them (and them alone) operating as the purifying power, preserving force and
guiding presence in our life.
How many of our inner most values, longings, truths and faith can we relate directly to scripture vs. what we
believe which is held desirable and sought after by the world? ... one might want to consider locating in scripture
his inner most absolutes before saying 'oh, I surely know where I got that'. If we do not know the origin
(begotten place) of our bias, beliefs and values ... then we are not able to clearly identify, detect and separate out
the counterfeit from the 'real' (1). Truth and real(ity) are (in) the person of Jesus Christ, and are not abstract
concepts that change according to the situational morality the world imposes. Christ is the absolute and begotten
of all Truth, wisdom and holiness, and all things are held together by the "word of His power" (Heb. 1:3). The
'principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places' (Eph. 6:12) continually
operate to destroy and corrupt a believer's 'knowing' (and subsequent faith) of God's Word and sabotage his
obedience to God's commandments. Know to Whom you belong and what He paid to beget your new life in
